On February 5th, 2010 Join millions of women who will come together to wear red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness on National Wear Red Day. Looking for somewhere in your community to join and help promote Awareness check out the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; the Office on Women's Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and many other groups to promote National Wear Red Day in your local community.
If you log on to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute you will find information on how to come involved through the media, community, at work and other resources.
Also their annual Fashion Show is February 11th.

The semester is beginning again for a lot of you college students and the one thing we hate is all the stress that comes with being a college student!
We wanted to help you guys start off right in 2010 with 5 tips on having a few stress free moments at school.
5. Get some alone time- Now I know some people just absolutely hate being alone but it really helps. When your in college you tend to have a lot going on from classes, relationships, friends, jobs, internships, organizations. Things can become very demanding and by mid-semester you are wore out from everything that is going on. Take a few hours or one day a week to just be alone. It gives you time to think and get out of the unnecessary things that is going on in your life. Watch a movie, make you dinner, take a long hot bath, draw do whatever it is that will allow you NOT to think about anything but that present moment. You will be surprised how refreshing it can be.
4. Read a book- Oh boy! I know some of you are like are you crazy. Maybe so, but taking a break from reading "required" books can be very refreshen for the mind. Reading a book of interest to you can take your mind away freely from things that are stressing you out including that History test! Pick up a book that will help your mind wonder off and when you get back you have forgotten all about your stress in your own world.
3. Exercise- I know you guys hear that a lot but exercising can really take you mind off of things. Instead of getting angry and taking it out on someone else go sweat it out! You will feel a lot better afterwards...(if you don't overdo it)
2. Have Friends over for a night of Fun- Plan out cool and exciting party themes and tell your friends to leave the gossip and drama on the front porch. Sometimes when we get busy with college life the people we love the most gets left out of our plans. Getting together with friends and just having a good time can really kill stress and be uplifting.
1. Spend time with Your GOD- I know this was not the number one thing some of you guys was looking for but we want you to be fabulous. So, to be fabulous you have to feel fabulous! Spending time with your GOD can help start your week off right. You get release all your burdens and place them in the Lord's hands. Sometimes we need reassurance that we can get through things even little simple things as a Math Test. It's nothing like getting help without even sacrificing who you are!

Soles4Souls launched by Wayne Elsey 5 years ago a nonprofit organization
that provides shoes for millions of people around the world is
looking forward to expanding it's services and including clothes.
The nonprofit will continue to donate shoes but hopes to launch
Clothes4Soles in the next 12 months.
Clothes4Soles would operate as a separate brand, distributing
clothing that is donated in similar fashion to how shoes are given.
Details still are being worked out, Elsey said.

Today is World AIDS Day and I wonder how people individually think this affects them! If anyone thinks that HIV/AIDS does not affects them in any way they are simply naive. Not meaning to call anyone any names. But, if you are having sex HIV/AIDS affects you. Have you looked up the facts and statistics? I have grown amazed more and more in how careless people are becoming to the issues of HIV/AIDS and simply believe that one day is just NOT enough. I found
myself thinking what is it that we can do to get people to realize this is not a GAME! What is the problem why do people continue to over look the issue? Are we needing new ways to reach out? I guess this is questions that everyone themselves need to be answering first. I always believed that the answers began within ourselves. How much do you really care about yourself and the body that the Lord provided for you? Now I'm not attacking anyone or anyone who has already been affected with HIV/AIDS but I found it interesting for us to hear the stories and shrug it off like we couldn't possibly be in that position. That's simply why I have taking the time to address this topic.
